How to use these numbers
Molecular weights are PubChem computed average masses for the parent compound. A lot supplied as an acetate or TFA salt, or as a metal complex, weighs more per molecule, so supplier figures differ in the decimals. CAS numbers appear only where PubChem lists one unambiguous registry number; a dash means it was not confirmed.
The value that identifies a specific lot is the observed mass on its certificate of analysis. The COA guide explains how to compare it with the theoretical mass, and every kit ships with its lot COA. Blends, proteins and compounds without a clean PubChem record are not listed.
Questions
What is the molecular weight of BPC-157?
1419.5 g/mol, molecular formula C62H98N16O22 (PubChem CID 9941957). Its CAS number is 137525-51-0.
What is the CAS number for TB-500?
PubChem lists 885340-08-9 for the Ac-LKKTETQ fragment (C38H68N10O14, 889.0 g/mol). The TB-500 name is also used for full-length thymosin beta-4, so check the mass-spec line on the lot COA.
What is the molecular weight of GHK-Cu?
PubChem gives 402.92 g/mol for the copper complex (C14H23CuN6O4+). The GHK peptide alone is 340.38 g/mol.
Why do suppliers list different molecular weights for the same peptide?
Salt forms (acetate or TFA), counter-ions, metal complexes and rounding all move the number. The figures here are PubChem computed values for the parent compound; the observed mass on a lot COA is what identifies the lot.
